In honor of Haven Life turning three, here are a few numbers that we’re really proud of

How does an innovative life insurance agency celebrate its third birthday?

Unfortunately, it’s not with pizza, ice cream cake and pony rides for Haven Term customers (legal strictly forbid it).

Rather, it’s with a blog post. A poignant blog post. Like the one you’re reading now. Where we can reflect upon our growth and accomplishments in ways that are profound, transparent and hopefully a little amusing.

So, in honor of us turning the little “oh-three” here are a few other numbers that we’re really proud of.

250%: increase in the number of people over the past year (April 2017 – April 2018) who have much-needed financial protection by way of the Haven Term life insurance policy.

3.1x: Multiple of annual income that, according to LIMRA, the average life insurance customer purchases in coverage*.

7.9x: Multiple of annual income that women who buy the Haven Term policy settle on. (BTW, we’re really proud of this number.)

70%: Haven Life customers who feel confident and comfortable enough with the application process that they complete it without ever reaching out to our support team. Yet, when customer support is needed, they’re very pleased with the help behind the phone, email, or live chat.

9.5 out of 10: Haven Life’s customer review rating on Trustpilot, an independent third-party review site.

As few as 30: Clear, conversational questions in the redesigned Haven Term application.

48: Median number of seconds it takes to get a decision on coverage via the InstantTerm process

32: Median number of seconds it takes to evaluate medical exam results, in real-time, without a human review, thanks to algorithmic underwriting. (And thanks to MassMutual’s Data Science Team.) Great, big, giant deal.

6: Median number of days it takes to get a decision on Haven Term eligibility with manual, human underwriting. Even when we’re slow…we’re still pretty fast.

167: age of our parent company MassMutual, as of yesterday. Funny, they don’t look a day over 165.

2: Number of Valentine’s Day Coverage-grams we created for our policyholders to share with their loved ones this year.
